I was curious to see how many RJs the UEX system would have in the near term (immediate orders following relaxing of scope in the pilots contract)...
Here are the exact numbers for y/e 2003: Airwis:
18 BAe 146 (current 18)
60 CRJ-200/LR (current 9) ACAI:
32 328Jets (current 0)
96 CRJ-200/LR (current 36) SkyWest:
52 CRJ-200/LR (current 4)
By y/e 2004: Airwis:
24 Additional CRJs (+75 options) ACAI:
A plethora of more options (expect the 728Jet) SkyWest:
32 Additional CRJs
Y/E 2004 UEX RJ COUNT: 296
However, expect more options to be firmed up, as well as orders for "Large-A's" (Large RJs)...
Considering there are -give and take- 70 RJs in the UEX system right now, this is a pretty impressive ramp-up within less than 3 years. We can also kiss Great Lakes' sorry arse goodbye... they're not on the RJ bandwagon, and it looks like they'll never be.
Does anyone know the Eagle, COex, DLcxn, and NWlink RJ counts for the 2003/2004 time frame?
(I'm too lazy to find out myself, hey that's what all you are here for, nestce pas?)

Speaking of United Express......will ROC EVER see Atlantic Coast CRJ's? All we see are junkstreams.

Hi Scott,
The Junkstreams are short lived at ACA. At least that is what I've been hearing. The Do328 Jet has been ordered for both DL Connection and United Express so in time ROC will see jet service b/c ACA is going to become an all jet airline in a few years

If the market demands it then they will be moved in. I guess the load factors aren't high enough to support them, or there aren't enough business travelers.

P.S. How are my competitors doing? 296 is a lot of RJs for the United feeder system, but I want to make sure our competition is doing better. What do you think of our new slogan -- "United Airlines. We're trying to be the best the worst can be."

Why don't the pilots agree to even more regional jets so everyone else at UA can have the pleasure of losing their jobs to someone making $6.00/hr at ACA or AWAC.?
