Quoting DL767captain (Reply 1): Wow i didn't know there were so many 757s in the new colors! Just wait until they merge with NW how interesting these threads are going to be!
With the exception of the ex-TWA aircraft, all 757s that currently feature the new livery were previously either in Song or Ron Allen colors. Delta currently has the Ron Allen livery aircraft on a quick repaint schedule, and likely by the late summer or early fall, there will be no more aircraft in Ron Allen livery.
Here is a list of remaining Ron Allen livery aircraft:
DELTA 757-200
N612DL
N690DL

Quoting WESTERN737800 (Reply 2): I wonder if the NW DC9s will ever see new DL paint, or being so close to retirement if they'll just do a hybird w/the DL name over the NW grey?
I think if they merge they should paint at least one of each NW fleet type (747,A330 so on) to the new DL colors, I don't think they will repaint the DC9s unless they are scheduled for repaint at that time.

Does anyone know the percentage of each type of aircraft painted and the total percentage of fleet? Will the schedule be accelerated in order to try to complete the Delta fleet before the NW merger and having to do those?

Quoting Tristarcrazy (Reply 8): FYI, I was on ship 1404 last week on LAS- ATL and it had newly installed AVOD.
Thanks!
Quoting Sdexplorer00 (Reply 9): Do you think they will spped up the process now to have more complete before having to do the NW planes?
I'm no business expert, nor paint expert, but I doubt it. Maybe if they were making huge profits or had some cash just laying around or something. But in these days $$$ is tight.
DELTA, the only airline to have a letter named after it. :-P

As I stated, I think the Ron Allen aircraft will be done by the late summer or early fall. There are only five mainline aircraft still in Ron Allen colors, and eight Delta Connection aircraft in Ron Allen colors. I think the Ron Allen livery aircraft will be done before the merger is approved.

I woud not be surprised they came up with a new livery. It´s been quite a while since the last one for Delta standards.
