It has to do with the end of Easter vacations in Mexico, one of the most heavily traveled seasons in Mexico along with Christmas vacations. Therefore you will see lots of full flights today (semana de pascua). It was also the case of last week (semana santa).

And I was in MEX_TWR that they, IIRC I also heard on the frequency MX requesting clearance for KMCO. It must have been a busy day, did you got to see Aladia too these days?

Thanks Rojo. They need to send the 777 (in old colors ) and save themselves a few frequencies!
Quoting Ghost77 (Reply 3): did you got to see Aladia too these days?
Yes, luckily they've already sent both differently painted 757s! They just started their summer flying to MCO two weeks ago.
Speaking of Aladia, there's a 757 (ex Sun Express) with winglets ready for delivery to them at Miami. Saw it coming out of the paintshop still with some masking tape hanging off the tail. It seemed to have a slighly deeper, more greenish blue color, very nice looking.

Awesome! Please share that picture with us here, please! Yes, it will be AYD's 4th Boeing 757 and an ex. Aeromexico bird returning back to its former home!
BTW, you have any idea of the Mexican rego of this new Aladia bird?

Believe me, AM would love to send a 777 to MCO for the holiday season, but after N774AM's accident, AM's widebody fleet is quite tight covering all long haul flights (MAD, BCN, CDG, NRT, GRU, SCL and EZE). In the words of good friend: "AM's fleet planning department is doing an amazing job with -1 B777. They are true magicians"

oh wow. Thanks for those pics man
By the way, it looks so dry there in.. MEX?
I couldn't tell by that link if its back in service or not but hey at least it's not the one in the old c/s Probably little chance that I'll get to see it before it's repainted
What did they do to replace this 777?

LOL; looks dry because the aircraft itself is standing at Aeromexico's new home MX base... its a new built concrete tarmac and still some sand of construction/digging/etc around hence the big illumination!!!
It's not yet back in service... those pictures were taken on early March and today the plane is standing engine less on the tarmac.
Gladly, it wasn't one of the new birds...!!! They're still deciding what to do... if that thing is reparable or if it will be a WFU. There's no replacement for now... sadly CDG has been the route sacrificed.... very soon another B767-300ER is joining in May 2008 but that's about it... that frame will help them open FCO and still PVG is schedule to start, for sure, either GRU or MAD will see a T7 reduction on frequencies and those flights will be done on B767-200/300ER.
Please, don't forget about my AYD B757WL special request!!!
