According to the Israeli newspaper, Yediot Ahronot, Israir Airlines (6H) has decided to cancel all flights from Ben Gurion International Airport (TLV) to John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) until the end of March. They couldn't secure an aircraft to use on the route and are awaiting for arrival of an Airbus 330 in April.
Israir had leased a 767 for a short while and was stopping in Europe on the return flights to refuel (according to the article) without telling passengers that these were planned refueling stops. So with all this new information and the possible walkout of the flight attendants for what they claim are horrible work conditions, is Israir's reputation ruined? Will people still fly with them? After such events, how can they really go after El Al Israel Airlines, Continental Airlines and Delta Air Lines?

Don't you mean "ruined further"? I still can't believe they're flying after the whole "coverup of runway incursion that would have killed a lot of people if not for a whole lot of luck" thing.

They've been using a Euro Atlantic B767-300 for the past couple weeks. Aircraft arrived at JFK this morning on an Israir flight from TLV. Not sure if its going back out.

a -200 or 300? ER or not? I'd be a bit surprised if no 767 could fly non-stop between Israel and the eat coast!
they have been using a 767-300ER
Quoting LY777 (Reply 5): LY flies nonstop to Canada with 763ER with no problem.
yes and when Israir did have to make a stop it was normally at like boston which means it could have made it but would not have had reserve fuel which is requiered
as in JFK is farther than YYZ
Quoting LY777 (Reply 5): All this is weird. Anyway, I don't think ISR is a good airline.

as far as i understand you seem to be misusing your words
cancel would mean to stop completely
it is more like postponing or doing a seasonal service

Whatever you want to call it, they left hundreds of passengers scrambling to look for alternatives. They tried to get passengers on Lufthansa (LH) and British Airways (BA), but both don't want to do it. They tried talking to El Al Israel Airlines (LY) and asked for group space but were denied. So they canceled a slew of reservations. Their reputation is shot even further now, so how can they make a real go of this?
According to the recent report on Israel 10's news program, Israir (6H) was using planes from some leasing company for a short period after returning the 767-300ER to Icelandair (FI). I think I recall that one of the aircraft that they flew recently to John F. Kennedy Intercontinental Airport (JFK) was a Neos (NO) aircraft. Anyway, these aircrafts required refueling in London when there would be strong winds. Passengers were frustrated when they had booked with Israir (6H) and were on an aircraft with a different livery, emergency instructions in foreign languages etc.
Couldn't think sink their route entirely? Imagine if you booked group space? You were really affected by this.

In some cases yes this is what they had to do
but I do know of many cases where they did find many people space
i also do give them credit for that I am not exactley sure the reason for them not flying these two months but i do give them alot of credit because it is not easy to find room for 100's of people

these aircraft definatley did not requier fueling in london
i believe there was one time that they had to make a stop somewhere in europe but i do not know the reason
I would really like to see your source for this because i did not see it in the article unless you can show me where in the article.

It is clearly in the article. Israel 10 also reported this on television and recorded an Israir representative saying over the phone that their flights are direct (not non-stop).
