Dear Gang,

FYI. Didn't find a thread about this, so here's the link:

http://www.democratandchronicle.com/...icle?AID=/20080109/NEWS01/80109005

A thunderstorm with heavy winds, sustained over 50 mph and gusts up to 75, blew through Rochester last night. The aircraft was moved by wind, front landing gear and tail damaged. It was to fly to DCA, flight was canceled and aircraft is being assessed. The article just says a 50-seat jet, doesn't say whether CRJ or ERJ.

Jim

Support Airliners.net - become a First Class Member!

Not surprising as here in CLE we had the same weather only earlier and I have tree limbs and large branches all over the back yard this morning.

Check back often.

It was probably a CRJ operated by Air Wisconsin. They are the only one operating ROC-DCA for US.

It was one of ours. I've heard the jetbridge blew into it....

Yeah, sitting in PHL right now after flying Air Wisconsin CRJ200 out of BTV. Quite a ride on the climb-out .. crosswinds to over 35 kts on departure.

Glad I had the day off!

Sucks that it was one of ours. I hope it can be put back in service soon.......
