Collecting my daughter from school this afternoon at about 3.15pm I saw a DC-10 very low wide downwind left before turning finals for 26. It was white with red writing on the side - something airways but I couldn't quite read it.
It also had a big Omega symbol on the tailfin - any ideas who it was??

Drinkstrolley,
It was N974VV, a McDonnell Douglas DC-10-40.
It first arrived in October 2005 and has been converted by FRA/BASCO into a Tanker, it flew out to Ireland for painting on 4th July and since arrived back on 11th. It has been doing a number of flights here at Bournemouth today, and is due to be at Farnborough on static display later this month.
