Does anyone know the status of any of the Connection carriers? I know that ASA has been painting some of their CRJs that were in the Ron Allen into DeltaFlot, and all ATRs in the Landor are now gone (only the 630-640 series are left). I believe all the Comair planes in the 7xx series are in the Ron Allen, with a few in the 9xx series; I believe the entire 4xx and all CR7s are in the new. SkyWest, I'm not entirely sure about...I don't get many opportunities to do widespread SkyWest spotting (I'll normally only pick up 1-2 at a time on my West Coast swings).
Also, if anyone knows what ex-Song planes are still in the Song livery, that info would be great.

My coment is not ment to bash DL but I find it ironic there are 757 that where painted in new colors, same aircraft repainted into Song, and now back into new DL colors again while some other 757's are still in the Ron Allen scheme !

This is highly "unscientific," but on 5/10 and 5/14 while I was in ATL, -all- except one of the ASA CRJ-200's I saw were in the new livery. Most of the larger CRJ-700's I saw were in that as well. I also noted, while taxing out, that there was at least one 777 in the final stages of painting. (It was sort of cool to see it entirely white and nearly glowing with that snowy new-paint look!)

huh...wierd because all of the 777s have been painted in the deltaflot for over a year now....are you sure it wasnt a 763?? this would be quite interesting if a 777 was being painted again...maybe they plan on unvealing a new livery soon....and i know what the critics will say...DL doesn't need a new livery now, however mgmt has been quoted as saying a new livery is coming soon.

It was a 777, of that I'm pretty certain. However, to be more specific, it was the tail section that I could see had just been done over -- still surrounded by scaffolding and very white. What I saw of the rest of the aircraft was also clear, in that DL's name hadn't been painted yet. They could have been just doing the tail section or something, but it did look like the entire plane had just either been painted or "waxed" (ha!) as it had that "new-paint glow" to it.
But to think on it more, even though it was in DL's hangars, it could theoretically have been another airline's aircraft. Couldn't see any registration or DL numbers on it.

I believe the first 777 in the new livery was delivered back in 2000 (I'm pretty sure the new livery premiered on a 777), so a touch-up visit might have been necessary, since it might have been 6 years since the paint job.
As for a new Delta livery - I remain entrenched in the camp that says it isn't happening. Grinstein did fire the PR firm that advised of the new livery, saying there was already too much brand confusion with the different liveries, not to mention that DL's current management seems to be focusing on creating a better in-flight experience (note the customer session they had the other day in ATL), with a focus on being the top airline by providing the best service (this might have come from the even-longer thread on the Delta FlyerTalk forum...I hang out over there as much as I hang out here). I don't see a livery being as pressing of a need right now, as that doesn't seriously effect this (in fact, I would say having 3 liveries out there, which would be the case, severly muddles the brand image and makes it harder to achieve this goal - if the current livery had been in place 10-15 years, then I'd say go for it, but with 1997 planes still floating around, I see it as a negative).

Oh, please let that be true!!! The current scheme is a disaster. Boring white fuselage, half painted engines, and a flag that doesn't stand for anything. The widget was a classic, and I thought the Allen scheme looked professional and classy. Deltaflot is not only an uninspired livery, but a reminder of Delta's toughest period in its history. The sooner that scheme fades into oblivion, the better.
All 737-800s are now in the new colors, and all 737-300s have been retired. I'm sure a few more have been painted but I'm not sure of them. DL employees could probably help out.

Well I think it's hip and exciting. I found the classic schemes to be plain and unoriginal. I prefer the brighter colors of wavy-gravy over the darker and boring colors of the classic scheme anyday.

You are useless! What do you even come on here for?!? I've yet to see you contribute one thing to a topic, get over your hatred of DL and actually add something to the conversation.

I certainly don't see anything exciting about it, but that is just my opinion. I guess we will just have to agree to disagree.

That is by far the worst written post I have ever seen..! AC, a Quadriplegic monkey could have written a better post..! You asked two question and never used one question mark...You have one run on sentence, two sentence's that are fragments, and one sentence that does not make any damn sense... I mean really, if your going to write this crap at least make it readable!
Let see how this should have looked...
Who cares about when DL will get their new livery! It will be a while before they can show any profits, (need something else here) (Ill help you out this time) so why are they wasting their money on different paint jobs? (<----AC, that is what a question mark looks like) Their passenger loads are not that great either, why is that? Overall, I do not think DL is a good airline to fly on.
Does not have to be perfect, but readable would be nice...

Do you expect anything else from a middle schooler that has 3 model planes?
As far as I can concur is that N1604R, N1611B and N175DZ are all in the new colors. The others, I will take Jeremy's word for.

Not to nitpick, but there's still 4 different liveries in the DL fleet, even with classic Widget now gone.
1. Ron Allen
2. Wavy Gravy with Mk 2 "soft" widget
3. Wavy Gravy with Mk 1 original widget, the current scheme
4. Song
The widget difference is something only spotters really notice.

Don't know the registration numbers, but every morning we have a Song-schemed aircraft flying RNO-ATL. Started seeing the Song scheme a couple of weeks ago.
