I would have thought they might have their own private jet like a learjet or something. If they do fly commercial they would be surrounded by officials and probably have the back of the plane to themselves or if on a 744 on the upstairs with government officials around with some sort of weapon (not smart to use a pistol on a pressurized cylinder at 36000 Ft is it  Smile )

You cant have your cake and eat it... What the hells the point in having it then!!!

The first lady flies Exec1F so I'd imagine the twins fly a USAF jet too.

they could probably fly commercial, albeit with a relatively light secret service escort. probably more along the lines of an Air Force exec transport.

Back when George W Bush was still governor of Texas his momma, Barbara Bush, was a frequent site out at Houston Hobby, catching a Southwest flight up to Austin. I would imagine the girls flew them to see their grandparents from time to time.

I had Jenna as a passenger before her daddy resided at 1600. She flew DAL-LAX when American had Love Field service, the F100s with 56 first class seats.

There are bullets that do not punch holes. Also a small hole in the fuse is not really a huge problem unless you hit something vital like a hydraulic line or a pilot on the way out.

Presidential children fly commercial unless traveling with the family of course.. The Bush daughters have flown AA and US several times out of DCA. They made the news a few months back when their US flight got stranded in some part of upstate New York and US flew another flight over from Boston maybe to make an unscheduled stop and pick up the stranded passengers with the Bush daughters being 2 of them. Back when I was with HMX 1 during Clinton's second term I can recall Chelsey flying commercial several times with a 3 to 4 agent detail.

Where did everybody go?

HAHA!

They fly commerically. They flew NWA from PIT to DTW or MSP (can't remember), and I'm sure they do that all the time.

I am sure they fly commercial flights with a small SS detail with them (2-3 agents). Chelsea (I used to know her when she was the the White House), normally traveled with 2 agents when cruising around DC. Being on a commercial airliners is a pretty controlled environment. Everyone will have been screened. Additionally, where are they going to run off to?

I worked one of their flights from AUS-PHX-SJD on HP back last year when they were both seniors at UT-Austin.

They did travel w/ bodyguards for the trip to Cabo and were escorted from the rampside into the plane.

No, he means ETOPS. Extended TWIN-Engine Operations.

But to answer the original question, they fly drunk and scantily-clothed, so yeah, they probably fly WN.

Ever watch Mythbusters on Discovery channel? They showed that a .40cal bullet isn't a problem for an aircraft at altitude. Tested on an ex-Hawaiian DC-9.

Yes, and it was discussed ad-nauseum by this board. Personally, I think it was stupid on US's part, but then you don't want to piss-off the Prez when your survival is based on the whims of the Federal Government.

Yeah, and I'm not 100% certain, but I think Jenna went to A&M, but I could have them mixed up.

No, she attended The University of Texas as did her uncle Jeb, her mom for her MLS, and cousin George P (George just finished law school)

For one official function they did get picked up in a C-21. Jenna had a secret service agent outside/inside at all of her UT classes. On Sept 11th, the guy came in and got her out of class very fast-at least according to my friend in the class with her.

Jenna Bush attended UT-Austin; I'm certain, as she graduated w/ her undergrad the same year that I graduated from there (2004). As for Barbara, not sure, but all I do remember is both girls got on the plane in Austin inroute to Cabo for Spring Break vacations.

I'm surprised no one has said this yet,

Was it me or were the twins the reason for the divert of a US Airways jet to pick them up because their US Airways flight was cut? Huge uproar over it if I recall correctly...

Thanks,

Matt
