CO returns to Bangor nonstop from EWR for the first time since they retired their ATR fleet , twice daily ERJ-145s during the peak Summer months with one daily nonstop operating year round.
CO will fly nonstop EWR-Calgary with a daily 737-500
EWR-Albuquerque returns this time daily.
Also new CLE-ABQ Regional jet nonstops.
"makes much more sense to live in the present tense"

EWR-YYC is long overdue. In 2002 my former company was doing extensive business in the Calgary area between July and December, and I remember the absence of suitable CO service in the market (EWR-IAH-YYC isn't exactly ideal) was a bit of a headache for me.
I bounced between NW (MSP), UA (ORD), and AC (YYZ) for the bulk of my 3-5 monthly trips, and while the NW codeshare ensured me at least some benefits, the lack of consistency made my travels a little bit more of a hassle than usual, and it sticks out in my memory.
The next thing we need "north of the border" is EWR-YVR to go year-round, and perhaps IAH-YWG.

Quoting N766UA (reply 1): Ha! Great, ERJs CLE-ABQ... just what I wanna fly on. But, can't say I'm the least bit surprised.
I fly four segments a week on those ERJ's. I rather like them. They are quick to board and deplane, and best of all, I get to sit on the port side of the aircraft, where I am *guaranteed* not to share my space with anybody else.
I'm guessing that ABQ is not exactly a high-demand market to CLE. What did you think they would send, a 757?
Christianity. Islam. Hinduism. Anthropogenic Global Warming. All are matters of faith!

I'm thinking we had CLE-ABQ as a route before operated with a 737?
I've been with CO 18 years, man, and it's the first CLE-ABQ I remember.
I'm surprised no CLE-SLC this summer. Would also love to see a seasonal CLE-PDX, as the one they ran around Thanksgiving last year was just packed, and that was with a 738.

Any chance that EWR-ABQ-EWR will, perhaps stay daily even after the summer season? There have been some whispers around ABQ that such a thing is not totally outside the realm of possibility.

About time that CO started EWR-BGR. There is only one non-stop each day from BGR to New York (American Eagle, timed for business travellers in that it leaves early and returns late), and DTW and CVG are a little out of the way for east coast connections, and BOS doesn't offer many (this is basically what BGR's service is). I think CO should be plenty successful on this route, as this adds an option for New York travel, and makes many more markets accessable from BGR.

Quoting UALGSO (Reply 16): Does anyone know who will be handling the Ground Ops in BGR / KBGR), USA - Maine">BGR? Will it be Expressjet or an Outside contractor.
Not stating factual information, but for two flights a day with the knowledge that you are going to one (which will be a overnighter) the will probably use an outside contractor.
With that I would guess OH as they already handle NW/Pinnacle.
It's a big building with patients, but that's not important right now.

how did CLE-SLC do last year? I'm disappointed it's not back. I really thought, when CO announced the 10 year lease at CLE airport, that we would see a bit of a kick up in service, nothing drastic like a big bank or more full size jets, but incremental improvements. Been more losses-- DTW to Commutair, no more XNA, no more HOU. Those are the ones I noticed.
