With the roll out of the first new-livery United 747-400 reportedly due out in November, what do you think we can expect to see as far as what will be painted on the winglet?
Will it match:
....the dark blue underbelly?
....the white fuselage top?
....the three stripes of different shades of blue on the fuselage?
....the traditional blue/red logo on a dark blue background?
....the new tail logo in smaller form?
Currently, as we all know, the UA 744 winglet matches the blue/midnight blue stripes on the tail. Similarly, on the TED A320s, the winglet color matches the shade of orange used in the tail as well. This leads me to believe that UA might keep the newly painted 747-400 winglets matching the new tail logo/tail colors. However, on the winglet-equipped United Express fleet already painted in the new colors, those winglets are just the basic dark-blue underbelly shade.
In most of the newly-painted 744 renderings I've seen, I believe I have only seen just a dark blue winglet.
Does anyone have any information regarding this (or even to go a step further and debate what might be seen on the mainline A319/320 winglets once they start getting the new scheme)? Furthermore, what would you all like to personally see painted on the winglets? What are your guesses?
Regards,
NZblue
It's an entirely different kind of flying; all together.

My guess is some color, probably dark blue as on the CRJs. Id like to see their new logo on there or the 3 stripe pattern, but due to costs of getting detailed like that I doubt it will happen.

I wouldn't be surprised if they left them 'plain' like they were on the older 744s in the late 80's bold titles livery. I'd love to see them in red (all kidding aside) just to throw some contrast in there.
My money is on the tulip though.
