I did not realize that the seating on this plane was 1x2. It looks very comfortable. Opinions?
Another question - does American Eagle have anything that could compete in terms of comfort in case they might wish to return to BFL with flights to DFW?

Personally I find my personal space is greater on the Express flights than on mainline. Service is faster, you still get a meal, and there are less people on board. Therefore despite the flightime seeming long, I find little problem spending that much time on an Embraer.
I have done a few of the three hour Express flights, and enjoyed them all.

I love the 145's. I take then quite frequently between TUS & IAH. The flight is only about two and a half hours but it is really comfortable. I fine them more comfortable than the 735 which is the other option I have if the flight times work. All but once I have been able to get 1A and between the extra space and the ability to talk to the F/A for a good portion of the trip you can't beat it.
I've never been on one of the regular 145's though. Always the XR. Does anyone knoe if the regular 145 can do IAH-TUS n/s or if it ever is used for that route?

Love the ERJs! My longest ERJ flight is about 3 hours, and we still got a meal, typical Continental friendly service however the comfort of the RJ exceeds that of their 737s, in my opinion. I find that there is usually more personal space on the ERJ, and all in all, much prefer it to any other narrow body in Continental's fleet, 757 excluded

Side note, the service on my IAH-TUS ERJ flight was 10X better than the service provided on my EWR-IAH 762 flight. On my EWR-IAH flight all we got was a bag of pretzels and two beverage services and on my IAH-TUS we got a meal service and about four beverage services. Every time the F/A was done doing around of beverages on the IAH-TUS flight she would go around and top people off. My last IAH-TUS flight on Aug 17 was probably one of the best CO/COEX flights I have been on. If there is a way to find out the F/A's name on CO2059 I would love to write a letter. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ditto on the ERJs (at least COEX's), I use them frequently to DAL and other regional destinations in and around Texas and I love em. When I fly to Dallas, I always try to fly COEX simply because of the ERJ service. While I can't say that I have been on a ERJ longer that an hour and a half, I would have no problem flying one to BFL.

As much as I like flying in F, I really enjoy the ERJ's where I can get an A side seat. An exit row seat is the cat's meow. Otherwise, you are a little cramped, but I enjoy the sensation of "flying" more.
