I live in Ft. Lauderdale, we have a lot of action down here......a lot of different carriers.......LCC heaven. My point.....Who agrees with me South West & Jet Blue are the most boring birds to spot. South West has a couple cool looking birds....Jet Blue......just boring!!! any other sleepers??

I love the signature one anetter has ( sorry , I can't remember who )
it goes something like "red tail ... red tail ... red tail .... red tail.... damn MSP-spotting ...red tail etc etc " love it !
as for WN , I thought that they had more one-off liveries than just about any other carrier , maybe they just dont rotate all the way around the system ??
BTW shouldnt this be in polls and prefs?

RDU just started to recieve the mesa CRJ-900's in the new U.S-AIRWAYS livery and that is cool but other than the obvious AA777 from LGW that is it for RDU as far as planespotting! Of course unless you have a diversion come in and the aircraft is of 757 size or bigger.

Boring, in my mind, would be something that shows up over and over again, i.e. no variety, be it carrier or airplane, regardless of where they came from.
The meaning of life is curiosity; we were put on this planet to explore opportunities.

It's all a matter of perspective. I spot at Vancouver, Canada and there is great variety. However, since JetBlue and Southwest don't fly here, they would catch my interest more than any carrier, domestic or international, that currently flies to Vancouver. We get a good variety of Asian and European wide bodies, but when you seem them regularly it's always the ones you rarely see that are the most interesting and novel. Mexicana's A319 is always a fun one to spot.

As a local FLL spotter myself, I'd have to agree that the almost-constant WN / B6 action does get old. However, WN's saving grace is:
1) many have APB winglets , and
2) The special liveries can make for unexpected treat
B6 on the other hand: A320...A320...A320...A320 The least they could do is bring an E190 in every once in awhile. At least Air Canada's got that covered for us!

Since we have small service from B6 into AUS I enjoy seeing them and we have so much variety and so little but many different carriers I don't get bored but I probably see AA and WN the most and they're all either going AUS-DFW AUS-DAL or AUS-HOU and Continental AUS-IAH. so Austin to Houston and Dallas isn't hard to find a flight out of Austin but at SJC I see wayyy too much AA but I like it and WN which I also like.
American Flight 1881 to San Jose you are cleared for takeoff!
