Just as the title says, what airlines are you a FF member with and why?
Air NZs Air Points. Use NZ and the Star Alliance for my long haul flights as I can get FF points on all long haul fare levels from New Zealand and the Star Alliance
Virgin Blue/Pacific Blue Velocity Programme. Now going to use DJ for most of my New Zealand Domestic and Trans Tasman flights because NZ don't give FF points on their cheapest fares.
Don't forget to check out my youtube movies in my profile!

oneworld - BA Silver - because they are the airline I fly most from LGW & LHR,
Skyteam - AF/KL Silver - because they are the airline I fly most from LBA & MAN,
Skyteam - Continental OnePass - because I flew them a few times before I joined Flying Blue.
Star Alliance - BD Silver - because they status matched my BA SIlver, and I will likely be flying a lot of *A routes this year.
One of these days I'll actually use some of the miles

CO These are old miles from AW and a couple of CO trips.
WN I fly them about 10-12 times a year and have their Signature Visa Card.
US A numer of old AW trips are on this account.

I only really use the last one, gold status for this past year, although hardly used it this year so will be back to normal I expect. Had a couple of mileage burns this year, still got about 30,000 left but will be saving it up again for something special.
I generally only fly with oneworld. I don't see the point of having minor status on a bunch of alliances, when I could have high status on one.
I did join the SQ programme to get the points off a Thai flight I did in J, but no points were credited. I also joined Aeroflot for a planned flight, but then RJ joined oneworld so the flight never happened. Icelandair - I donated my points to charity, which makes sense considering I'm not exactly planning to go back to Iceland in a hurry (though it was gorgeous!).
Finally, I did join the BA Executive Club and was considering changing over to them (as I now live in Europe), but it's slightly easier to get status on QF than on BA.
I choose to fly oneworld, as a member of Qantas Frequent Flyer.

I've been a Delta SkyMiles member for several years now. Originally signed up as part of a Coca-Cola promotion where you could get SkyMiles from the entering the codes found on bottle caps. DL is currently who I tend to fly on and I currently have just under 10,000 SkyMiles, all earned this year.
I'm also a member of AirTran's A+ Rewards, but haven't earned any credits with them in nearly two years and what credits I had expired earlier this year. Originally signed up as part of the now infamous Wendy's Biggie Size cup promotion.
I've never really thought about joining any other FF programs, as I tend to fly either DL or FL.

My big two are Northwest WorldPerks and US Airways Dividend Miles. I also have a Frontier EarlyReturns that I use sometimes and I'm in Sun Country UFly, which is new. I am also technically in AAdvantage, as I was about to book a flight on them once, but suddenly I wound up booking on a different airline instead so that's kind of a dud account for me.
Northwest is my largest one with just over 25,000 miles, thanks to SkyTeam (i.e. Continental and Delta!)

Delta, US Airways and American. Have elite status on Delta (use them 90% of the time), used to have elite status with US Airways (before they started their decline in terms of service) and use AA for the occasional flight where ST and *A don't really work (for example, a business trip I had to take STL-DFW last year; my choices were Southwest or having a first class seat on American...I'll take a F seat on an AA 757 every single time over a coach seat on a WN 737.)
