Lots of people, once they gain FF status, like to show it off. It becomes a mark of importance, a sign of elite-ness. Have any hear ever taken their FF card out for any reason? (Most agents see you status on their computers). Have any here ever pushed to the front of the line because of status (without an invitation to do so by the agent?)

I have never shown a status card unless asked for it. I am an Elite member with United. I of course take advantage when possible by using express lines, priority check in, priority stand by, upgrades and other features like that.

AIRLINERS.NET CREW
CUSTOMER SERVICE & SUPPORT

Whenever being a Skyteam Elite member will benefit me, then I will use it; typically for priority at check in, ticket desks, boarding and lounge access. I might as well 'get my money's worth' out of it after all!

Same for me. I haven't even carried my card on me for a couple of years. It always cracks me up to see a Silver Medallion rail on about how they are such an important flier and make a stink when they don't get an upgrade on their Super Saver ticket.
